Recruitment begins for Wichita State Summer Choir, open to all volunteers

The Wichita State University Summer Choir is now accepting volunteer members in preparation for its annual summer performance.

The Summer Choir is open to anyone in the community who will be in Wichita this summer, is high school age or above and looking for a place to sing. Rehearsals are Mondays and Wednesdays from 5-6:45 p.m. beginning June 1 in the Duerksen Fine Arts Center, Room C-107.

This year's theme is “Have a little HOPE,” which builds on last year’s theme, “Have a little FAITH.” The Summer Choir concert is at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 25, in Wiedemann Hall.

There are no auditions; just come, sing and invite others. Everyone is invited to attend the annual performance, regardless of musical ability. Teachers may enroll for college graduate credit, but it is not required for participation. Extra credit if you bring a tenor with you!
