Wichita State community mourns loss of student

The Wichita State community is mourning the loss of student Rayan Ibrahim Baba.

"Our hearts go out to the loved ones of Rayan," said Wichita State President John Bardo. "We are offering counseling support to students and expect to meet with students, faculty and staff to hear their ideas and concerns."

Support for members of the university community grieving the loss of a fellow friend and classmate is available through the Counseling & Testing Center, Mondays through Fridays in 320 Grace Wilkie Hall, 978-3440.

Additional locations for assistance from Counseling & Testing Center staff this week are from 5 -6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 11, at Fairmount Towers South first floor lounge; 10 a.m.-noon Thursday, Aug. 13, at Student Health Services in Ahlberg Hall; and 3-4 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 13, in 245 Rhatigan Student Center.
