WSU's Office of General Counsel announces new attorney appointments

Wichita State University has announced new appointments to the Office of General Counsel. Stacia Boden has joined the office as associate general counsel and Molly Gordon as assistant general counsel.

“The role of the General Counsel’s office is to provide and coordinate all legal services for WSU as we seek to minimize and manage risks and costs,” said General Counsel David Moses. “Stacia’s and Molly’s diverse backgrounds allow us to provide more legal services to the university that had previously been out-sourced.”

Prior to working in-house, Boden represented public entities and private businesses, including top Fortune 500 clients, as a partner at the Kutak Rock LLP law firm in Wichita. Over the years, Boden has specialized in a number of different practice areas including education, employment, business, criminal and constitutional law.

Boden received her bachelor’s degree in political science from Fort Hays State University and her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Kansas School of Law.

Boden is thrilled to return to Wichita and join the university.

“I am excited to be a part of the university and its focus on innovation, applied learning and research,” said Boden. “Wichita State is, in my opinion, an entrepreneurial leader in higher education providing tremendous value not only to its students but the community as well.”

Boden spends her free time with her husband, Mark, and their children, Roman and Ava.
