Wichita State's Chas Thompson to serve as coordinator-elect for NACA Institute

Wichita State University's coordinator of student organizations, Chas Thompson, was named the coordinator-elect for the National Association for Campus Activities (NACA) Student Government West Institute. Thompson will serve on the institute faculty as coordinator-elect for the 2016 institute and as institute coordinator for the 2017 institute.

The NACA Student Government West Institute is a leadership development program for student government representatives. Utilizing various leadership development theories, the institute curriculum is developed to provide participants with strategies to best represent a diverse group of students and organizations.

Thompson has served as faculty for the NACA Student Government West Institute for several years, both as a graduate student and a professional, and is excited to take on a new role within the organization.

Thompson joined the Student Involvement staff at WSU in June 2015 after receiving his master’s in higher education-student affairs from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
