The council is a group of faculty and staff that will meet regularly to engage with President Bardo regarding current events, issues and campus updates.

Monthly meetings will provide faculty and staff direct contact with Bardo for an opportunity to ask questions, address concerns and advise the president on diversity.

The council is in keeping with Goal 6 of the university’s strategic plan: Be a campus that reflects — in staff, faculty and students — the evolving diversity of society. WSU wants to ensure that the composition of the community at Wichita State mirrors the variety of types of people found in society, especially in terms of race and gender.
