Food Truck Plaza celebrates grand opening at WSU

  • Starting Monday, June 20, Wichita State's Food Truck Plaza began operating on campus.
  • It will have up to four trucks at time from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.
  • The plaza is at the intersection of Wheatshocker Drive and Perimeter Road, across the street from NIAR.

A grand opening for Wichita State University's Food Truck Plaza took place Monday, June 20.

The plaza is across the street from the National Institute for Aviation Research, on the edge of the new Innovation Campus development, located at the intersection of Wheatshocker Drive and Perimeter Road.

Intrust Bank gave away free Kona Ice in appreciation of students and staff. 

With room for up to four trucks at a time, the plaza will be open from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. Popular Wichita-area trucks, such as The Flying Stove and Charlie’s Pizza Taco, will be on rotation.
