Students bring the house down with Songfest performances

More than 1,200 students and friends packed the sold-out Wichita Orpheum Oct. 29, for Wichita State University's annual Songfest.

The event is part of Shocktoberfest, a WSU tradition since 1991 that celebrates Shocker spirit and pride.

Songfest is a night of performances put on by student groups, with a variety of awards being given out.
