IN CASE YOU MISSED IT

Garage

Garage

Parking Garage
: WSU's first parking garage is open south of the RSC. The four-level garage includes student, faculty/staff, disabled, motorcycle and reserved spots.

YMCA: Starting Monday, Aug. 21, all fee-paying Wichita State students will have a single adult membership to all nine Greater Wichita YMCA locations included as part of the student activity fee. The Y membership will be effective as long as students are enrolled and paying student fees at WSU. Just bring your Shocker ID to the YMCA front desk to get started.

Tobacco Free Campus: Wichita State University and all of its satellite locations and WSU-owned properties are now tobacco free. The new campus policy eliminates the use of any tobacco product, including cigarettes, cigars, smokeless tobacco, hookah and electronic cigarettes.

Conceal and Carry: On July 1, all Kansas universities were mandated to allow concealed carry of handguns. Possession of other weapons and the open carry of firearms are prohibited. Safety is the No. 1 priority at WSU, and our goal is to work together to ensure that the entire campus community has the tools necessary to understand the law and how to maintain responsibility and personal safety.

American Athletic Conference: Wichita State University is now a member of the American Athletic Conference. While this move to a Power 6 conference is an obvious upgrade for Shocker athletics, it is important to understand that the conference change is at least as much about positioning the university as an innovative academic and research institution as it is about athletics. We've used athletic success as a catalyst for improving student life and enhancing Wichita’s growth and prosperity.

Chartwells Food Contract: Chartwells, the new food contractor for Wichita State, is bringing new, healthier dining options for students. The RSC is now home to two new restaurants, Mondo Subs and Sono. The Groundhouse is also serving local Reverie Coffee.
