Students in an Honors environmental philosophy class at Wichita State University have started an awareness campaign inspired by the oil spill in the Gulf, according to associate professor William Vanderburgh, the class instructor.

In addition to handing out fliers and talking with fellow students, the students in class created a Facebook group, "This is Our Spill," and a website http://ourspill.weebly.com.

The project came together in a matter of a week, and students plan to keep working on the project even after the class is over.
