WSU summer institute makes more room for teachers of writing

Educators have an opportunity to improve their teaching of writing and earn three hours of college credit at a summer institute scheduled for Monday, June 7, through Friday, July 2, at the College of Education at Wichita State University.

The institute is conducted by the South Central Kansas Writing Project, a professional development network serving teachers of writing at all grade levels, sponsored by the National Writing Project and the WSU College of Education.

During the institute, teachers will learn and demonstrate new strategies to help their students become accomplished writers and learners. Participants will share what they've learned with other teachers when they return to the classroom in August.
