Entrepreneurship training sessions run through fall at WSU

The Center for Entrepreneurship at Wichita State University is hosting “Financing – You are the Biggest Asset,” part of its fall lineup of Practical Entrepreneur Training Tools (PETT) sessions.

The event is from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 24, at Devlin Hall on the WSU campus.

WSU professor Gaylen Chandler, the W. Frank Barton Distinguished Chair in Entrepreneurship, will headline the session.

PETT sessions are designed to help participants learn how to better leverage their business strengths and to lead them through the process of innovation and entrepreneurship.

More sessions are planned through December, including:

Oct. 1: “Navigate the Legal Aspects of Business” with Dave Dahl
Oct. 8: “Capitalize on the Web” with James Mock
Oct. 15: “Strategic Planning as a Best Practice – Lessons Learned” with Don Hackett
Oct. 29: “Igniting the Innovative Spark in Your Company” with Chris Broberg
Nov. 5: “Deciphering Financial Statements” with Ron Christy
Nov. 12: “Sustainability” with Jim Wolff
Nov. 19: “Technology Toolbox for Your Business” with Scott Ward
Dec. 3: “New Media Marketing” with James Mock

Every session is from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. in Devlin Hall. Cost is $35 ($15 for WSU students) and includes lunch.
