Entrepreneurship training programs to start in October

The Center for Entrepreneurship at Wichita State University is offering entrepreneurship training programs designed to explore the potential of your business idea.

The 10-week programs run from 4:30-7:30 p.m. every Tuesday, starting Oct. 5, in 2nd Floor Devlin Hall.

Led by seasoned entrepreneurs, the programs will provide an environment where participants can build an actionable business plan and forge relationships with peers, facilitators, industry experts and guest entrepreneurs.

FastTrac NewVenture is designed to explore the potential of your business idea. Before you quit your job or invest your life savings, wouldn't it be nice to know whether your idea has value?

NewVenture costs $495, with scholarships available. The instructor is Tim Pett, director of the Center for Entrepreneurship and an associate professor in WSU's W. Frank Barton School of Business.

The other training program, FastTrac GrowthVenture, is designed to unleash your business potential, teaching you how to streamline business processes, analyze strengths and shortcomings, and achieve more balance in your work and personal life.

GrowthVenture costs $1,295, with scholarships available. The instructor is Don Hackett, a Kansas Family Business Fellow and also an associate professor in the Barton School of Business.
