WSU collaborates to develop new online fall prevention kit

The Falling LinKS Toolkit, a collaborative program led by Wichita State University, is now available online.

WSU, along with Envision Low Vision Rehabilitation Center and the Harvey County Department on Aging, developed the toolkit to enable people who may be at risk of falling to learn more about falls and how to prevent them.

The toolkit is designed to be used by people who are living at home. It will help users identify situations that increase the risk of falling and create plans for falls prevention.

Falling LinKS is funded by a United Methodist Health Ministry Fund and the WSU Graduate School. The WSU Falling LinKS Research Team includes:

• Teresa Radebaugh (PI)
• Candace Bahner
• Deborah Ballard-Reisch
• Michael Epp
• LaDonna Hale
• Rich Hanley
• Karen Kendrick
• Michael Rogers
• Nicole Rogers

The Falling LinKS research team is supported by the following WSU graduate students:

• Ashley Archiopoli
• Melissa Granville
• Bobby Rozzell
• Chigozirim Utah
• Katie Sue Williams
