From Oct. 11-13, the Elliott School of Communication at Wichita State University will hold its annual Communication Week. The theme for this year’s event is “Nothing but .net.”

The Elliott School will suspend classes for three days to give students, faculty and staff up close and personal views of the advances, trends, opportunities and challenges in the various communication professions today.

Communication Week includes more than a dozen activities. Featured events include:

  • Wichita native Jim Lehrer, PBS NewsHour. He will speak via Skype from 9:30-10:45 a.m. Monday, Oct. 11, in 203 Rhatigan Student Center.

A reception for Bender will be held from 5:30-7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 11, at the Marcus Welcome Center. He will also give a speech, “The Call of the Game: Top Tips from 30 Years in the Broadcast Booth,” from 9:30-10:45 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 12, in the CAC Theatre.
