World Trade Council hosting seminar on exporting

The World Trade Council of Wichita and the Center for International Business Advancement at the W. Frank Barton School of Business at Wichita State University will host a reception, dinner and keynote address, “National Export Initiative and U.S.-DOC Services for Exporters,” at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 14, at the Wichita Marriott, 9100 E. Corporate Hills Drive.

The keynote address will be given by Ro Khanna, deputy assistant secretary for domestic operations for the U.S. Commercial Service, U.S.-DOC International Trade Administration.

A.J. Anderson, director of the U.S.-DOC Wichita Export Assistance Center, will give the featured address.

The cost is $15 for students, $25 for members and $35 for nonmembers.

The WTC is also hosting “Export Compliance, Documentation and Payments” from noon-4:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 14, on the first floor of the Commerce Bank Headquarters at The Waterfront.

Gabe DiGiorgio, vice president of Commerce Bank, and Nick Bland with Held & Associates will give presentations. The event includes lunch.

The cost is $45.
