Brooks Middle School students Madison Davis and Isabeau Orozco recently competed in the national 2010 TRIO Quest event and won silver and bronze medals for their photo essay entries “The Brick Wall that You See” and “Flowers.”

Wichita State University has nine TRIO programs. TRIO students from around the country participated in one or more of three Web activities in a national competition called TRIO Quest: Media Quest, PhotoEssay and TRIO Sites. All three activities are open to all college and pre-college TRIO programs.

TRIO Talent Search is a federally funded program designed to prepare and motivate middle school and high school students for post-secondary education.
