Wichita State offers new Transfer and Relocation Scholarships for spring 2011

New first-time transfer students to Wichita State University are immediately eligible to receive a $3,000 Transfer Scholarship for spring 2011 at WSU.

In addition, students from Seward, Barton, Dodge City, Garden City, Johnson and Kansas City Kansas community colleges are eligible for an additional $2,000 Transfer Relocation Scholarship for spring 2011.

Awarding of scholarships is based on available funds and will be given to students on a first-applied, first-awarded basis. The priority consideration date is Wednesday, Dec. 1. For all Transfer Scholarship offers

• Priority consideration date of Dec. 1. For best consideration, students must submit all admission materials (e.g., transcripts, application, $30 application fee, etc.) and scholarship materials by this date.
• Enrollment deadline of Dec. 17. Failure to enroll by this deadline means the scholarship offer will be withdrawn.
• Students must be United States citizens or permanent residents.
• Awarding is based on available funds and will be given to students on a first-applied, first-awarded basis.

Transfer Scholarships

$3,000 Transfer Scholarships for spring 2011
• Students must be new first-time, full-time students to WSU.
• 3.0 cumulative GPA.
• Students must submit a spring 2011 transfer student application.
• The spring Transfer Scholarship application also will be given consideration for fall 2011 and spring 2012.

$2,000 Transfer Relocation Scholarship for spring 2011
• In addition to the $3,000 Transfer Scholarship above, total spring 2011 package would be $5,000 plus additional consideration for future semesters.
• Students from Seward, Barton, Dodge, Garden, Johnson and Kansas City Kansas community colleges are eligible for the relocation scholarship.
• Students will be eligible for the relocation scholarship only if they have not graduated from a Sedgwick County high school. Note that Sedgwick County residents would be rolled into consideration for Sedgwick County awards if they apply through the normal transfer scholarship application process.
