WSU College of Fine Arts has offerings for January

When spring semester classes start Tuesday, Jan. 18, entertainment and educational events from the WSU College of Fine Arts and the Ulrich Museum of Art for the month of January will soon follow.

The Ulrich Museum of Art will open the 18th Faculty Biennial from the WSU School of Art and Design with a members’ party on Jan. 22. On the same day, the Ulrich Project Series also will open Alfredo Jaar’s exhibit “We Wish to Inform You That We Didn’t Know,” a retrospective on world tragedies.

For youth, the two-day Piano Festival Jan. 22-23 and the following weekend’s Organ Day, Jan. 29, offer the region’s talented middle and high school students a chance to mix with School of Music faculty and students, and perform on quality instruments, including the Marcussen organ.
