Wichita State to hold Financial Aid Awareness Week

Wichita State University’s Office of Financial Aid will sponsor various events during Financial Aid Awareness Week Sunday, Feb. 13, through Saturday, Feb. 19.

During these uncertain economic times, the Office of Financial Aid wants to emphasize the importance of applying for federal financial aid early by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by WSU’s priority date of Tuesday, March 1, and to make students aware of the financial aid opportunities they may have.

Students will be able to register for a grand prize drawing and a $1,000 scholarship for the 2011/2012 academic year ($500 fall 2011, $500 spring 2012) by submitting an electronic registration made available to students.

Students may also receive additional entries by attending events during Financial Aid Awareness Week.

To be eligible for the grand prize drawing, the WSU Office of Financial Aid must be able to confirm your completed FAFSA application prior to March 1.

The winner will be announced the week of March 1.

Unless otherwise noted, all events are open to the public.
