Learn how to start and grow your business with new WSU programs

Starting your own business rather than seeking another job can provide a future that is rewarding, exciting and keeps you in charge of your future. The Center for Entrepreneurship at Wichita State University offers entrepreneurship training programs designed to explore the potential of starting or growing your business.

Starting Tuesday, March 8, the Center for Entrepreneurship will start off the spring semester by offering two interactive programs where participants can build an actionable business plan, forge relationships with peers, facilitators, industry experts and guest entrepreneurs.

“The focus of these programs are to help entrepreneurs take a step back, look at the big picture, and work on their business, not just in their businesses,” said Tim Pett, director of the Center for Entrepreneurship.

The first program is called “FastTrac NewVenture.” It is designed to help people launch a new business in light of the challenging economic times. The second, “Growing Your Business,” focuses on helping business owners and entrepreneurs improve the performance of their businesses.
