The Wichita State University men’s and women’s bowling teams have qualified for the Intercollegiate Team Championships, the most prestigious competition of the season.

Nationals are April 20-23 in Columbus, Ga.

The men will attempt to defend their three consecutive titles and look for an unprecedented fourth win, while the women hope to continue their seeming trend of winning in odd-numbered years.

The teams qualified by their performance at the Intercollegiate Team Championship Selectional Qualifier in Eluess, Texas. The Shocker women finished second, while the men won their division with the highest of all four sectional qualifiers held across the country.

“It was a good team performance,” said head coach Gordon Vadakin. “However, we have five weeks to try and get better. That’s our focus right now.”
