World Trade Week set for mid-May

The World Trade Council of Wichita is co-hosting its annual World Trade Week on Thursday, May 19, at the Wichita Marriott, 9100 Corporate Hills Dr.

The WTC is affiliated with the W. Frank Barton School of Business Center for International Business Advancement at Wichita State University.

Events get started with a panel at 7:30 a.m. with “Doing Business Under NAFTA: After 17 Years.”

The second panel, “Perspectives & Prospects of Doing Business in Mexico,” starts at 10:15 a.m.

Following a lunch break will be four more panels:

  • “Legal, Customs, Documentation, Accounting & Taxation Issues,” 1:15 p.m.
  • “Wichita Aircraft Companies,” 2:15 p.m.
  • “Company Trade Strategy & Success in Canada and Mexico,” 3:15 p.m.
  • “Q&A,” 4 p.m.

A VIP reception starting at 5:45 p.m. will follow.
