The WSU College of Education was the recipient of the largest known university gift in the nation that is specifically for scholarships to support students in math and science education.

This nearly $7.5 million endowment from the Doris and Ralph Klose estate allows the WSU College of Education to award full tuition to 20 teacher education students each year.

Through the annual Klose Scholarship Competition, three Klose Scholarships are awarded to high school seniors with a passion for teaching. The three winners receive financial aid packages that cover the cost of tuition for all fours years required to earn an education degree.
