The forum, sponsored in part by Wichita State University, is designed for leaders from all walks of life who are interested in Kansas beyond its first 150 years. Key discussion areas will include employment, health, education, environment, and rural and urban issues.

Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback and Wichita Mayor Carl Brewer are scheduled to speak at the event.

Other featured speakers are WSU President Donald Beggs; David Adkins, executive director and CEO of the Council of State Governments; James Chung, president of Reach Advisors; and Gretchen Eick, professor of history at Friends University.

Conversation catalysts will include Robert Moser, secretary of the Kansas Department of Health and Environment, and Andy Tompkins, president and CEO of the Kansas Board of Regents.

Other sponsors are the Kansas Health Foundation, The Wichita Eagle and the Kansas Leadership Center.

The registration fee is $50. For more information and to register for the symposium, go to www.kansasinquestion.com.

The deadline to RSVP is Wednesday, Nov. 30, but spots are filling up quickly. People will be added to a waiting list once registration is full.
