High school students to learn about teacher ed

Approximately 80 Future Educators Association (FEA) students from Wichita high schools will visit the Wichita State University College of Education on Wednesday, Feb. 8-Friday, Feb. 10, to learn and experience firsthand what college life will be like, and what they must do to become a licensed teacher in Kansas.

“College Day @ WSU” is supported by the Wichita Teacher Quality Partnership grant.

The FEA students will learn about becoming a teacher through information on the course of study, scholarship opportunities and financial aid.

They’ll participate in classroom observations, a dormitory tour and team building activities, and meet with WSU Student Ambassadors.
