Country artists Joe Nichols, James Otto to perform at WSU

The Wichita State Student Government Association (SGA) presents country artists Joe Nichols and James Otto for the premiere Shocker Appreciation Concert at 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, at Charles Koch Arena. Doors open at 6 p.m.

To celebrate 100 years of service to students, SGA is offering free tickets to the first 3,000 students who pick them up. General admission tickets are available for pick-up at the Athletics Ticket Office in Koch Arena, the Heskett Center and the University Bookstore in the Rhatigan Student Center.

All remaining tickets are available to the general public for $15 at goshockers.com and the Athletics Ticket Office.

Concert headliner Nichols heralds top Billboard Hot Country singles such as “Gimme That Girl,” “Brokenheartsville” and “Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off.” Otto’s hits include “Groovy Little Summer Song” and the RIAA Certified Gold Country single “Just Got Started Loving You.”

This concert is part of the ongoing series of events at WSU celebrating the centennial of Wichita State’s SGA.
