Second Ulrich director candidate to make campus visit Monday

A national search for the Ulrich Museum's new director has been narrowed to three candidates.

As part of the process, each candidate makes a campus visit and gives a public lecture on the topic: "What is the role of a university art museum in the 21st century?"

The second candidate, Julien Robson of Philadelphia, will speak from 1-2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 22, in 210 McKnight Art Center West (WSU School of Art and Design). This event is free and open to the public.

Robson is presently an independent curator in Philadelphia. He was curator of contemporary art at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in Philadelphia from July 2008-July 2012.

Prior to that, he was curator of contemporary art at the Speed Art Museum in Louisville, Ky., from January 2000-July 2008.
The final presentation will be from 1-2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 29, in 210 McKnight Art Center West.
