CDC plans child abuse prevention in-service

Wichita State University’s Child Development Center will host a child abuse prevention in-service from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 23.

According to data from the National Child Abuse Center, 91,000 babies younger than 1 were mistreated in 2006. It is also estimated that another 499 babies younger than 1 were killed as a result of abuse.

Would you know the signs of abuse if you saw them? Would you know how to help a friend who needs support in parenting?

Join WSU’s Child Development Center for a presentation from the Kansas Children’s Service League to learn more about preventing child abuse and parent support.

Space is limited, and child care is provided, so call and reserve your spot today.
