Nonprofit policy summit to examine human services funding

The future of human services delivery and funding in Kansas will be the subject of an Oct. 30 Nonprofit Policy Summit sponsored by Wichita State's Hugo Wall School of Urban and Public Affairs.

The summit is from 3-5 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, at the WSU Metropolitan Complex, 29th and Oliver.

Panelists are Bill Buchanan, county manager, Sedgwick County; Beth Oaks, vice president, United Way of the Great Plains; and Lea Stueve, legislative/policy director, Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services.

They will discuss short- and long-term delivery and funding predictions from local, state and United Way perspectives.

Funding challenges and opportunities will be presented, and participants will have time to ask questions.
