Ten Wichita State faculty members will be honored during the 2008 Faculty Awards at 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 13, in the Rhatigan Student Center Ballroom.

Jill Docking with the Kansas Board of Regents will make comments and present the awards.

The honorees were chosen for setting the gold standard for teaching, research and creative activities at WSU. Honorees include:

Academy for Effective Teaching: Timothy Quigley, Diane Scott and Larry Spurgeon

Excellence in Teaching: Jen-Chi Cheng and Deborah Soles

Leadership in the Advancement of Teaching: Gamal Weheba

Young Faculty Scholar: Robert Manske

Excellence in Research: Barbara Hodson

Excellence in Creative Activity: Judy Babnich

Community Research: Louis Medvene
