The Kansas unemployment rate has risen from 5.8 percent in August 2012 to 5.9 percent August 2013, according to new research released by Wichita State's Center for Economic Development and Business Research.
This is consistent with the general Kansas trend of a relatively flat unemployment rate since the start of 2012.
