More than 2,300 students are eligible to participate in the 116th spring commencement ceremonies Friday and Saturday, May 16-17, at Wichita State University. Ceremonies will be held in Charles Koch Arena.
Undergraduate and graduate degrees will be conferred in individual college ceremonies.
Shuttle service will run on campus Friday, May 16, only. Information about parking and the shuttle service can be found at www.wichita.edu/parking.
Fairmount College of Liberal Arts and Sciences
About 870 liberal arts and sciences students are eligible to participate in commencement exercises at 3 p.m. Friday, May 16. Tim Emert will represent the Kansas Board of Regents. The commencement speaker will be Gene H. Zaid, founder and CEO of JACAM Chemicals LLC.
College of Health Professions
About 285 health professions students are eligible to participate in commencement at 7 p.m. Friday, May 16. Tim Emert will represent the Kansas Board of Regents. The commencement speaker will be Rear Admiral Epifanio (Epi) Elizondo, Regional Health Administrator for Region VI for the U.S. Public Health Service.
College of Engineering
Almost 410 engineering students are eligible to graduate in a ceremony at 8 a.m. Saturday, May 17. Shane Bangerter will represent the Kansas Board of Regents. The commencement speaker will be Robert Marley, vice president of Student Success, Montana State University.
College of Education
About 320 education students are eligible to graduate in a ceremony at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 17. Shane Bangerter will represent the Kansas Board of Regents. The speaker will be Chase Curtiss, CEO and founder of Sway Medical.
W. Frank Barton School of Business
About 285 business students are eligible to participate in commencement at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 17. Shane Bangerter will represent the Kansas Board of Regents. The commencement speaker will be Brian Heinrichs, chief financial officer, Intrust Bank.
College of Fine Arts
More than 120 fine arts students are eligible to graduate in this ceremony at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, May 17. Shane Bangerter will represent the Kansas Board of Regents. The speaker will be actor Ray Wills.
