While many entrepreneurs measure success in revenue and profits, social entrepreneurs measure success by positive impact on society.

From 3-4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, in Wichita State University’s Devlin Hall, Room 107, the Center for Entrepreneurship and Meritrust Credit Union will highlight social entrepreneurship as they host the final forum of the fall 2014 lineup, “Innovative Approaches to Benefit Society: The Future of Social Entrepreneurship.”

Four Wichitians dedicated to helping others will talk about lessons from their own careers, and how they applied those lessons to building better communities through non-profit organizations. They will share with attendees how they have been able to impact society through different innovative approaches.

The speakers include panelists Brian Black, corporate public affairs manager at Spirit AeroSystems; Yolanda Camerena, board president of Kansas Hispanic Education and Development Foundation; Bob Lutz, Wichita Eagle sports columnist and founder of League 42, an organization that introduces baseball to inner-city kids; and forum moderator Shelly Prichard, CEO of the Wichita Community Foundation.

The Entrepreneurship Forum Series provides an opportunity for students and the community to learn, listen and engage in dialogue with accomplished entrepreneurs. The speakers for all forum events are chosen for their national prominence or local success, and represent a wide range of business.
