Wichita State selected to host aerospace tech transfer forum

The Association of University Technology Managers has selected Wichita State University to host its newest partnering forum on aerospace technologies.

The forum, which will be hosted by WSU Ventures on Wednesday, June 10, in the Rhatigan Student Center, is a unique opportunity for universities to network with industry partners and take an in-depth look at the aerospace technology sector. It is an ideal networking atmosphere for business development and contracts managers, industry academia liaisons, university technology transfer managers, university research lab directors/managers, and university research lab marketing representatives.

The forum will consist of university presentations; a mini tradeshow in which industry will highlight technological areas of interests and how to best work with their company; short panel sessions dealing with technology transfer; and plenty of opportunities for one-on-one partnering.

AUTM is currently seeking industry sponsors that support learning, sharing and networking to continuously improve the practices and skills that bring innovation to the public. Sponsors receive one complimentary meeting registration; one discounted meeting registration; an exhibit table in the registration area; a logo with link on the Partnering Forum web page; an acknowledgement in the attendee materials and on registration area signage; and a final registration list in electronic format. Interested parties can download a sponsorship application or contact Madhuri Carson by phone at 847-753-5217 or at mcarson@autm.net.

A welcome reception will be held prior to the forum at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9, at the Hilton Garden Inn. Attendees of the forum may also want to attend the Kansas Procurement Conference, which will be held on Thursday, June 11, at the Beech Activity Center.
