Record number of registrations for Wichita Economic Outlook

Wichita State University's Wichita Economic Outlook Conference has received a record 720 registrations for its 2015 event, surpassing the previous record of 650. The 36th annual conference will be held at 7:30 a.m. Thursday Oct. 1, at Century II Conference Hall.

The conference will begin with an opening address from WSU President John Bardo and will be moderated by WSU’s Vice President for Strategic Communications, Lou Heldman.

Presenters include Scott Anderson from Bank of the West speaking on the U.S. and global economies; Ted Jones with Stewart Title Guaranty Co. speaking on commercial real estate; and WSU’s Center for Economic Development and Business Research Director Jeremy Hill with the state and local employment forecasts.

Each presentation will be followed with a panel discussion including panelists from local industries as well as experts from WSU.
