Holiday choral concert tradition continues with November performance

Wichita State University's 53rd annual "Candlelight Christmas Concert" will feature the voices of WSU's Concert Chorale, Women's Glee Club, A Cappella Choir and Madrigal Singers.

The longest-running musical tradition at Wichita State will continue at 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 29, and 7:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 30, in Wiedemann Concert Hall.

The four choirs will perform separately and collectively, modeled after the renowned St. Olaf College Christmas Festival. Music will include audience favorites “Beautiful Savior” and “Personent Hodie,” along with “Light Everlasting” by Olaf C. Christiansen and “Lux Aurumque” by Eric Whitacre. WSU conductor Tom Wine will premiere his composition, “Magnificat.”
