Rep. Mike Pompeo — freed from Congressional duties by the massive weekend snowstorm in Washington — will make a speaking appearance at Wichita State University at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26, in Lindquist Hall, Room 103. The event is open to the public.

Pompeo, a Republican who represents the 4th Congressional District, will speak to WSU political science students in professor Ken Ciboski’s course on the history and function of Congress. He will also field questions from students and the public.

Congress is not expected to reconvene for several days because of the storm, which dumped more than 20 inches of snow on Capitol Hill.

Those wishing to attend the speaking event are encouraged to use satellite parking lots at 21st Street and Oliver and at 29th Street and Oliver and take the free WSU Shuttle System to the Grace Wilkie Hall stop on campus. Go to wichita.edu/shuttle for more information.
