Ulrich Museum presents conceptual art exhibition

Wichita State University students, faculty, staff and the general public are invited to participate in the "Countdown to do it" at WSU's Ulrich Museum of Art.

"Do it" is a traveling exhibition conceived and curated by Hans Ulrich Obrist and organized by Independent Curators International in New York.

Artworks resulting from the “Countdown to do it” program will be included in the upcoming exhibition of “do it,” opening Saturday, April 23, at the Ulrich.

“Do it” makes use of an assortment of random and nontraditional objects to create art.

In partnership with the Ulrich Museum of Art, this iteration of “do it” is reimagined through the vision of students in the WSU School of Art, Design and Creative Industries.

Almost every aspect of the exhibition was created, fulfilled and experienced by students learning to explore the art and museum world firsthand.

The exhibition and the accompanying publication were made possible in part by grants from the Elizabeth Firestone Graham Foundation, the Robert Sterling Clark Foundation, and with generous support from Project Perpetual and ICI’s International Forum and Board of Trustees.
