WSU announces spring commencement schedule, speakers

More than 2,300 students are eligible to participate in the 118th spring commencement ceremonies Saturday, May 14, at Wichita State University. Ceremonies will be held in Charles Koch Arena. Undergraduate and graduate degrees will be conferred in college ceremonies.

Fairmount College of Liberal Arts and Sciences / College of Fine Arts

More than 890 students are eligible to participate in commencement exercises at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 14. Dennis Mullin will represent the Kansas Board of Regents. The commencement speaker will be Kaye Monk-Morgan, director of the TRIO Upward Bound Math Science Center at Wichita State University.

College of Education / College of Health Professions

About 690 students are eligible to participate in commencement exercises at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 14. Dennis Mullin will represent the Kansas Board of Regents. The commencement speaker will be Laurie Labarca, administrator of hospital operations for Via Christi Health.

College of Engineering / W. Frank Barton School of Business

Almost 775 students are eligible to graduate in a ceremony at 5 p.m. Saturday, May 14. Dennis Mullin will represent the Kansas Board of Regents. The commencement speaker will be Khalid Raza, former distinguished engineer with Cisco.
