Wichita State University President John Bardo will give the welcome address at the 40th Annual World Trade Week banquet, an event hosted by the Center for International Business Advancement, World Trade Council of Wichita.

The event begins at 5:30 p.m., Thursday, May 12, at the Wichita Marriott.

Dharma DeSilva, professor of management at Wichita State, will present the program introduction at the banquet, and Barton School of Business Dean Anand Desai will deliver the closing remarks.

The banquet will honor Spirit AeroSystems with the award of Excellence in Global Operations as the world’s largest producer of commercial aero-structures.
