Higher Learning Commission continues Wichita State accreditation

The Higher Learning Commission’s Institutional Action Council has continued the accreditation of Wichita State University.

The university met all of the criteria with no interim monitoring required, and the next reaffirmation of accreditation will be in 2026-2027.

This represents a 4-year process that included a group of faculty and staff from divisions across the university. Accreditation recognizes the institution’s commitment to academic excellence and quality assurance.

“Reaffirmation of the university’s accreditation demonstrates our commitment to a quality educational experience for our students,” says Wichita State President John Bardo. “It’s also a verification that our vision, mission and core values are aligned with the actual direction of the university. None of this would be possible without the support of all of our excellent faculty, staff and students.”
