Author brings male feminist perspective to WSU Old Town

Wichita State and the Center for Combating Human Trafficking will host a free event with author and professor of journalism at the University of Texas, Robert Jensen.

Jensen, a founding board member of the Third Coast Activist Resource Center and member of the board of Culture Reframed, will be giving a lecture called A Male Feminist Perspective on the Anti-Trafficking Movement on Monday, Sept. 25.

Karen Countryman-Roswurm, the assistant professor and executive director of the school of social work, is excited to host Jensen and to offer the Wichita community the chance to hear him speak.

“Robert’s work and unique perspective offers tangible solutions to this issue suggesting the need for radical feminism to help all of us break free from the confines of our patriarchal society,” says Countryman-Roswurm.

The event will take place at WSU Old Town at 6 p.m. with the lecture starting at 6:30. It will be free for all who wish to attend.
