Wichita State University Student Activities Council to host 8th Annual Drag Show

The Student Activities Council (SAC) at Wichita State University will host its 8th Annual Drag Show at 8 p.m. Friday, April 20. The event will feature nationally recognized drag queen Ginger Minj and many other regional, local and student drag queens and kings.

Minj was a finalist on season 7 of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” and runner-up on season two of “RuPaul’s All Stars Drag Race.” Other performers include Victoria Fox, Regina La-Rae, Ladiesman, Divinity Masters, Starla Nyte, Terri S. Aqui, Faux L ’Beau and Jamal Magnum.

The event will begin at 8 p.m. with doors opening at 6:15 p.m. for advance ticket holders. Doors will open at 7 p.m. to those purchasing tickets at the door. Seating is general admission. The event will be held at the Campus Activities Center (CAC) Theater, located on WSU’s main campus.

All of Shocker Nation and the surrounding communities are invited to attend.

Tickets are on sale now in the Student Involvement Office, Suite 216 of the Rhatigan Student Center. Admission is free for students with a WSU ID, $8 for WSU Faculty and Staff with WSU ID, $10 for general admission, and $5 for children 12 and under. Purchases may be completed with cash or check only. Advance ticket sales will close at 4 p.m. Friday, April 20, and will resume at 7 p.m. at the CAC Theater.
