Six teams of young entrepreneurs advance to final round of Shocker New Venture Competition

Six teams emerged victorious from the Shocker New Venture Competition Trade Show on Friday, April 20.

Sixteen teams pitched their new venture ideas to about 200 judges throughout the afternoon. The judges each had 10,000 Shocker Dollars to invest in the teams they believed to have the best chance of succeeding in the marketplace. Those receiving the greatest amount of investment dollars are proceeding to the final round.

AdviseMe, Cy5, DeepBlue, Nervii, Prenatal Hope and Extracted LLC will continue to the final round, which will take place from 1-4 p.m. Friday, April 27, in Devlin Hall. A reception following the presentation will be held from 4-6 p.m., with an awards at 5 p.m.

The winners of the Shocker New Venture Competition will be awarded start-up capital to aid in the launch of their own new venture.

The public is welcome and encouraged to attend, and to witness this next generation of entrepreneurs and innovators.
