WSU holding student science, math event

The Kansas JASON Project, through Wichita State’s Fairmount Center for Science and Mathematics Education, is hosting the annual JASON DAYS event Monday, Feb. 2-Friday, Feb. 6, on the WSU campus.

The event is for local students and will showcase JASON’s “Operation: Resilient Plant” and ecology-based curriculum unit.

WSU’s annual JASON DAYS event brings local Kansas JASON students that have been using JASON to learn about Earth to WSU to view a program connected to the curriculum and to be exposed to local scientists who work with ecology.

Students experience fun, hands-on activity stations during the event.

Schools from Wichita, Derby, Udall and Goddard are attending this year’s JASON DAYS.

The JASON Project is an award-winning international science curriculum that is part of National Geographic.
