College of Fine Arts has a busy March planned

The College of Fine Arts at Wichita State University has excellent offerings for audiences this March, especially from the School of Music and the School of Performing Arts.

Two prestigious faculty groups will be showcased in the Faculty Artist Series with the Lieurance Woodwind Quintet early in the month and the Wichita Brass Quintet closing out the month.

WSU’s Opera & Musical Theatre is tackling Kurt Weill’s eclectic opera “Street Scene,” and will be followed by Mainstage Theatre’s classic version of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.”

The Shakespeare comedy marks director of theater Bret Jones directorial debut on the WSU campus.

Tickets can be purchased in person or by phone from noon-5 p.m. Monday-Friday at the College of Fine Arts Box Office, (316) 978-3233, or online at www.wichita.edu/fastickets. For more information, go to www.wichita.edu/finearts.
