Warren E. Pickett, distinguished professor and chair of physics at the University of California-Davis, will be the next guest in Wichita State’s Watkins Visiting Professorship Series.

Pickett’s lecture, “Discovery in science: What is possible, what is knowable,” is at 4 p.m. Monday, April 27, in 127 Jabara Hall.

It is free and open to the public.

The lecture is part of the Watkins Visiting Professorship, which was created in 1974 by the Watkins Foundation to provide WSU’s biology, chemistry, geology and physics departments with one visiting professor each year.
