The Midwest Green Earth Fest 2009 is being held Wednesday, April 22-Saturday, April 25, at Wichita State University.

The event is co-sponsored by WSU’s Green Group and a coalition of community and corporate sponsors.

Green Earth Fest 2009 is a weeklong celebration of Earth Day.

Its theme is renewable energy.

Rod Bremby, secretary of the Kansas Department of Health and Environment, will give a keynote speech at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, in 208 Hubbard Hall.

Walt Chappell, a member of the Kansas Board of Education, will also give a keynote speech at noon, Saturday, April 25, in the Shocker Square, Rhatigan Student Center.
