Shift Space to host national juried ceramics exhibition

WSU Shift Space, an initiative of the School of Art and Design at Wichita State University, will host a Final Friday reception for “Blow Up,” a national juried exhibition of ceramics graduate students.

The reception will from 6-10 p.m. Friday, April 24, at 803 E. Third St. in Old Town.

For this exhibit, Shift Space invited qualified ceramics graduate students from across the United States to submit entries for an exhibit showcasing a diverse range of approaches in the field of contemporary ceramics.

Selections, made by visiting professor Annie Strader, highlight new as well as traditional genres to show the multiple and varied potentials of contemporary ceramics.

Shift Space is fresh from “Project Run-a-way,” a wearable art/fashion show in its second year as a fundraising event for the gallery.
