KCEE summit will focus on career readiness of today's youth

The Kansas Council on Economic Education (KCEE) is hosting its annual Kansas Summit on Economic and Financial Literacy at 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 12, at the Hyatt Regency Wichita.

The focus of the summit is how economic and financial literacy enhances

the career readiness of youth and their ability to function as effective citizens.

Jill Docking, vice president of investments at Wachovia Securities and founder of the Financial Fitness Foundation, will be the keynote speaker.

Starting at 5:30 p.m., there will be a celebration of the 50th anniversary of KCEE.

Robert Duvall, president and CEO of the Council for Economic Education and a member of President Barack Obama’s Advisory Council on Financial Literacy, will be the keynote speaker for the evening’s events.

KCEE is a nonprofit entity based in the W. Frank Barton School of Business at Wichita State University and is affiliated with all six Kansas state universities.
